GIG (Arab Orient insurance ) has held its general assembly meeting for the year 2018 on 25 April 2019 at the headquarters of the company in Jabal Amman, in order to consider the matters on the agenda of the meeting as well as discussing and endorsing the financial statements for the year ended on 31/12/2018.

The meeting was attended by the Chairman, His Excellency Mr. Naser Al Lawzi, Dr. Ali Al Wazani, the CEO of the company, the representative of the general companies’ controller, representatives of the insurance administration, external auditors, in addition to six board members and a number of shareholders, who attended in person or through representatives. These shareholders hold 19,486,425 of the total company’s shares out of 21,438,252, which constitute 90.89% of the capital shares.

Mr. Naser Lawzi declared that the annual profit has amounted to JOD 3.213 million in 2018; and the premiums written have reached JOD 85.2 million. On the other hand, the assets amounted to JOD 100.1 million and the bank deposits reached JOD 47 million compared to JOD 42.7 million in 2017. Total technical reserves reached JOD 34.5 million compared to JOD 36.9 million in 2017.
