GIG- Jordan has participated in the first “Wellness jo Conference” under the patronage of the minister of Youth his excellency Mr. Faris Breizat. The Conference was held on the 22nd and 23rd February 2020, at the King Hussein Cultural Centre and was organized by Actness.

This Conference aimed at focusing on the patterns and positive healthy conduct in addition to the spreading awareness of the significance of a healthy lifestyle in all aspects of life, whether at work, university or even school.

Mr. Suleiman Dandis, Director / Medical Insurance Department, participated as Speaker in a seminar within the conference, which aimed at creating a dialogue on developing healthy conduct of individuals and changing their lifestyle in a way that would minimize the risks of health hazards. Such actions would reflect positively on the premiums, thus providing a better access for more individuals to medical insurance.

Mr. Dandis received an honorary award as a representative of gig- Jordan as a gesture of appreciation for the sponsoring and taking part in one of the dialogue panels.

It is worth mentioning that a number of expertise in societal medicine have taken part in the conference, in addition to academic staff members who work at health sciences, psychological sciences, and social sciences faculties. Representatives from different sectors relevant to health issues have also attended the Conference and programs of health and wellness in Lebanon, United Arab Emirates, the Sultanate of Oman, Malaysia and Jordan were presented.
