open motor accident procedure
Please find below the documents and procedures that are required for opening a comprehensive insurance claim:
If the Police Report is available, then the following documents are requested:
- Notification of the accident scheme
- A copy of the vehicle’s license.
- The driver’s license.
- A copy of the vehicle owner’s identity card.
In the case that the accident is against an unknown driver, the following documents are requested:
A certified report from Traffic Management.
A copy of the vehicle’s license.
A copy of the vehicle owner’s identity card.
In the case of theft, the following documents are requested:
A theft report issued by the Police Station.
Vehicle license or explanations from the Drivers and Vehicles Licensing Department (DVLD) in case the entire vehicle is stolen.
A certified Public Prosecutor’s decision when six months have passed without the vehicle being found.
A judicial undertaking from the Drivers and Vehicles Licensing Department (DVLD) before receipt of the compensation.
In the case of vehicle fire, the following documents are requested:
A report issued by the Police Station.
Civil Defense report.
Criminal Investigation report.
Public Prosecutor’s decision.
