The global credit rating agency AM Best has affirmed the Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating of Gulf Insurance Group – Jordan at “a-” (Excellent) and the Financial Strength Rating at “A-” (Excellent), both with a Stable Outlook. Gulf Insurance Group – Jordan maintains its leading position in the local market, remaining the only Jordanian insurance company to hold this rating.

In its press release, the agency stated that the rating reflects the company’s strong financial position, solid operating performance, neutral business profile, appropriate enterprise risk management, and maintenance of the strongest level of capital adequacy, as well as its leadership in the local insurance market. The company also demonstrated positive investment performance and diversification of its investment portfolio, while maintaining excellent liquidity and financial flexibility.

AM Best further emphasized that the rating reflects the support Gulf Insurance Group – Jordan receives from its parent company, Gulf Insurance Group, and its strategic importance within the group.

Dr. Ali Wazaney, the company’s CEO, expressed his satisfaction with the affirmation of this rating, which reflects the highest levels of insurance protection enjoyed by the company’s clients.

Founded in 1899, AM Best is the oldest credit rating agency specializing in insurance and reinsurance companies. It is worth noting that Gulf Insurance Group – Jordan received its first credit rating from AM Best in 2006.
